Drones strike powerful blow in Yaroslavl region: Temp oil depot on fire
On the morning of December 31, drones struck the Temp Plant in the city of Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region, Russia.
This was reported on the Exilenova+ Telegram channel, and the attack was also confirmed by the governor of the region, Mykhailo Yevraev.
The Temp plant is part of the Rosrezerv system and is designed to store large fuel reserves. According to published videos, a powerful fire broke out on the territory of the oil depot, which engulfed fuel tanks.
Rybinsk is located in the area of the large Volga river system, has an active railway connection and acts as an important logistics hub. Because of this, the oil depot in the city is a key point for the storage and distribution of petroleum products in the northeastern region of Russia.
Local services are trying to eliminate the consequences of the fire and assess the extent of damage to the fuel warehouse. The circumstances of the incident and possible causes of the attack are still being clarified.
As a reminder, on the night of Wednesday, December 31, drones attacked the city of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. The strike caused fires on the territory of an oil refinery and damaged a pier in the seaport.
