Drones struck the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery in the Rostov Region.
A massive fire has broken out near an oil refinery in Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Oblast. Local residents are reporting a possible drone attack.
The media reports this.
The Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery is the only operating oil refinery in the Rostov Region and plays a key role in the fuel supply of southern Russia. The refinery produces gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, marine fuel, and heating oil.
The company has a well-developed logistics infrastructure: connection to the Transneft main oil pipeline, its own tank farm, railway station, and tanker fleet. This allows it to supply both the civilian sector and the military.
According to available information, the refinery supplies diesel fuel and aviation kerosene to the Russian occupation army. The refinery’s proximity to the Ukrainian border makes it an important logistics hub for the troops.
As a reminder, on the night of December 25, drones struck the port of Temryuk in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. The attack resulted in two oil storage tanks catching fire.
