Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó again announced the attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline, which caused the halt in the supply of Russian oil to his country.
He wrote about this on Facebook.
On August 22, Szijjártó said that Hungary learned overnight that the Druzhba oil pipeline on the Russian-Belarusian border had been “hit for the third time in a short time.”
He also reported that Russian oil supplies to Hungary have been stopped.
“This is another attack on the energy security of our country. This is another attempt to drag us into war,” Szijjártó said.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister also stressed that his country will continue “to do its utmost to support peace efforts and protect national interests.”
It is worth noting that Ukrainian drones hit a strategic facility on Russian territory – an oil pumping station in the city of Unecha, Bryansk region . The facility is part of the Druzhba oil pipeline system.
As reported, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced that on August 19, the Druzhba oil pipeline, which had completely stopped operating due to attacks by Ukrainian drones, had resumed supplies.
