On Wednesday, May 6, some consumers in several regions of Ukraine were left without electricity due to Russian shelling.
This was reported by Ukrenergo.
According to energy experts, drone attacks and strikes on infrastructure have caused new power outages in frontline regions — in particular, in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv regions.
“Where the security situation allows, emergency restoration work is already underway,” the company noted.
At the same time, overall electricity consumption has decreased slightly. This is attributed to sunny weather, which has led to more active operation of home solar power plants.
Ukrenergo urges Ukrainians to continue using electricity rationally. In particular, they advise to postpone the use of powerful electrical appliances to daytime hours – from 10:00 to 17:00.
“In the evening hours, there is still a need for economical consumption – we ask you to limit the use of powerful equipment from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM,” the energy experts emphasized.
As reported, Russia violated the declared “silence regime” almost immediately after it began . The attacks were recorded after midnight on May 6. Several regions were hit, including Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
