On Tuesday, May 19, due to Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions remained without electricity.
Ukrenergo reports this.
The company noted that drone attacks and artillery shelling in frontline regions resulted in power outages for some consumers. Where security conditions permit, emergency restoration work is already underway.
At the same time, the level of electricity consumption in Ukraine shows a downward trend.
As of 9:30 AM on May 19, consumption was 1.9% lower than at the same time the previous day. Ukrenergo attributed this to clear weather in many regions, which increases the efficiency of residential solar power plants and reduces the load on the grid.
The company also reported that the evening peak in consumption on May 18 was 1.6% lower than on the previous business day, May 15.
