On Wednesday, October 15, due to the consequences of Russian attacks, hourly power outages will be implemented in the Chernihiv region. No restrictions are in effect in the rest of Ukraine.
Ukrenergo reports this.
Last night, Russian troops launched further drone strikes against energy facilities in several regions. The attacks left some consumers without power, particularly in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Morning emergency shutdowns were also implemented in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy regions, but most of the restrictions have already been lifted.
In the Chernihiv region, three rounds of hourly power outages continue to be in effect due to systematic attacks on energy infrastructure.
Electricity consumption remains high across the country. As of 7:30 a.m., it was 4% higher than the previous day, driven by colder temperatures and increased use of space heaters.
“The need for energy efficiency remains strong throughout the day. Please avoid using multiple high-power electrical appliances simultaneously between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM,” Ukrenergo urged.
Earlier, the Russians launched a combined attack on the Sumy community, causing power and water supply outages.
