During a visit to Moscow, CIA Director John Ratcliffe proposed to the Kremlin that he arrange a meeting between Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Volodymyr Zelensky.

Axios writes about this.

The publication’s sources reported that CIA Director John Ratcliffe, during his secret trip to Moscow, proposed a three-way meeting between American leader Donald Trump, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to end the war.

According to Axios sources, Ratcliffe’s visit was partly intended to determine whether Russian intelligence officials could help persuade Putin to take a step toward resuming U.S.-brokered talks with Ukraine.

On August 28, US officials briefed Zelenskyy on the content of Ratcliffe’s talks in Moscow, the proposal for a trilateral summit, and the possibility of resuming peace talks.

As a reminder, on the morning of August 25, an American military transport aircraft Boeing C-17 Globemaster III of the US Air Force landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport.
