Dynamo Moscow has offered a three-year contract to the Romanian national team’s ex-coach.

Dynamo Kyiv is considering appointing former Romania national team coach Edward Iordenescu as head coach. The club has already offered the 48-year-old a three-year contract with a substantial salary.

This was reported by the Polish publication SportoweFakty.

According to a source, Dynamo has been discussing a possible head coaching change for some time. Negotiations regarding Iordenescu are ongoing, and the Romanian coach is currently weighing the offer and assessing its pros and cons.

Iordenescu has been unemployed since October 31, 2025, when he left Polish club Legia Warsaw. He took over the team on July 1 and led them to the main stage of the Conference League, where Legia Warsaw beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1. Under the Romanian’s leadership, the Polish club has recorded 11 wins, six draws, and seven losses.

Iordenescu previously said that he was on the list of candidates for the position of head coach of the Ukrainian national team before Andrea Maldera was appointed.

He is best known to Ukrainian fans for his work with the Romanian national team. At Euro 2024, Iordenescu’s team crushed Ukraine 3-0 in the first round of the group stage.

Iordenescu could become the next head coach of Dynamo if the parties agree on contract terms.
