Editor-in-chief of the publication “European Truth” Serhiy Sydorenko criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
During the briefing, the president expressed hope that “one person in the European Union” would not block a multi-billion dollar loan for Ukraine, otherwise the Ukrainian military would be given her address – “let them call him and communicate with him in their own language, ” Interfax-Ukraine quotes .
As Sydorenko noted, Zelenskyy’s words are a “master class: how to help Orban.”
“Bravo, what else can you say here? What should be guided by to issue such a stand-up is a mystery to me personally. But this is a clear, pinpoint hit on the rhetoric that Orban needs to mobilize his voters,” the journalist believes.
He is convinced that such actions will make it difficult to normalize relations with Hungary in the future, even if Orban loses the election.
“So why harm ourselves like this? What is the goal? Zero benefits, simply zero. On the other hand, the losses are real, because Hungarian government propaganda will definitely pick up and use this gift very quickly. Let this quote from the President of Ukraine not become the main thesis of Orban’s propaganda in the decisive month of the campaign… Because this option is not excluded,” added Sydorenko.
Orban previously stated that Ukraine was blocking the transportation of oil through the Druzhba pipeline and threatened to resume the process by force .
