Egypt refuses Russian grain with TOT: what is known

Egypt will no longer accept grain that Russia exports from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, and at the same time plans to increase imports of Ukrainian products.

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the head of state, he agreed on this during a conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The Egyptian side also expressed its readiness to contribute to achieving a just peace.

The parties agreed that the foreign ministers would maintain further contact.

During the conversation, the presidents discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region, as well as its impact on the global oil market.

Zelenskyy informed the Egyptian leader about negotiations with countries in the region. The parties also discussed the prospects for military-technical cooperation and other areas of bilateral relations.

It was previously reported that the Turkish company Erisler , which is a supplier to the UN World Food Program , may purchase Ukrainian grain exported from temporarily occupied Mariupol through the Russian company Nika .

Recall that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has exported 15 million tons of Ukrainian grain from the occupied territories.
