An increase in electricity distribution tariffs will come into effect in several frontline regions of Ukraine from October 1, 2025. The changes will apply exclusively to businesses, while tariffs for the population will remain unchanged.

This was reported by the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKRECU).

The National Energy Regulatory Commission (NERC) approved new tariffs for the following energy companies:

  • JSC “ZAPOZHZHYAOBLENERGO” — 275.67 UAH/MWh (1st voltage class), 2,902.37 UAH/MWh (2nd voltage class);
  • JSC “MYKOLAIVOBLENERGO” — 608.34 UAH/MWh (1st class), 2,647.34 UAH/MWh (2nd class);
  • JSC “SUMYOBLENERGO” — 380.80 UAH/MWh (1st class), 2,674.83 UAH/MWh (2nd class);
  • JSC “KHARKIVOBLENERGO” — 565.85 UAH/MWh (1st class), 2,463.4 UAH/MWh (2nd class);
  • PJSC “PEEM “CEK” — UAH 223.61/MWh (1st class), UAH 1,597.59/MWh (2nd class).

The tariff increase is taking place in frontline regions that are under systematic attacks by Russian troops. According to representatives of the National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and Utilities of Ukraine, the changes are necessary to maintain the stable operation of the energy infrastructure and cover the costs of its restoration after shelling.

These are tariffs for the distribution of electricity to enterprises and organizations. Household consumers – the population – will continue to pay for electricity at current prices, which remain unchanged.

Thus, the decision of the National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and Power Sectors is a forced step aimed at supporting the energy system in the regions that are under the greatest pressure from the war.

It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers is currently not considering increasing electricity tariffs for the population.

By the way, Ukrainians will not be left without electricity or heat in the winter, even because of debts . However, not all of them, but only those who live in front-line areas. The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision prohibiting the disconnection of electricity and gas during the upcoming heating season.
