Electricity tariffs may increase from July 1, 2026

The National Commission for Energy and Utilities Regulation plans to increase the electricity transmission tariff for Ukrenergo. The new rates may come into effect as early as July 1, 2026.
This decision was discussed during the meeting of the National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and Utilities of Ukraine on May 26.
According to the project, the electricity transmission tariff is proposed to be increased by 21.6% – to UAH 903.53 per MWh excluding VAT.
It is also planned to change the tariff component aimed at supporting electricity production from alternative sources. It could amount to UAH 367.56 per MWh.
Separately, the National Energy Regulatory Commission (NERC) proposes to increase the tariff for enterprises of the so-called “green” electrometallurgy. It could increase by 42% – to UAH 535.97 per MWh excluding VAT.
In addition, the regulator wants to increase the tariff for dispatching control by 7.8%, to UAH 118.64 per MWh.
“After final approval, the new tariffs should come into effect on July 1, 2026,” it was noted during the meeting.
