The Lithuanian government has approved the transfer of medical aid worth 84.5 thousand euros to Ukraine. Medicines and equipment will be sent to the military hospital in Zaporizhia and the Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital in Dnipro.

This is reported by the Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT.

The Lithuanian government made the decision to provide assistance on October 28. The humanitarian cargo will include medicines, infusion solutions, electrocardiographs, blood gas analyzers, medical pumps, and other necessary equipment.

All equipment and medicines will be taken from the Lithuanian state reserve, which is managed by the country’s Ministry of Health. The list of assistance was formed taking into account the needs of Ukrainian medical institutions.

The Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was tasked with organizing the delivery of humanitarian cargo to Ukraine.

At the same time, the medical supplies that will be transferred to Ukraine will be excluded from the state reserve. The Lithuanian government does not plan to replenish the relevant stocks.

It was previously reported that Ukraine received another $404.5 million from Japan and the World Bank for the development of the healthcare system. The money has already been transferred to the state budget.
