American billionaire Elon Musk has donated more than $276 million to organizations that support the US Republican Party since July of this year.
The New York Times writes about this.
In total, the businessman has donated about $366 million to Republicans since the start of the election campaign in January 2025. This is more than during the 2024 presidential election, when his contributions amounted to about $290 million.
The Senate Leadership Fund received the largest amount — $158 million. It is the main political action committee that financially supports Republican candidates in Senate elections.
Musk also gave more than $76 million to America PAC, an organization that helps recruit voters in competitive Senate and House races, and $20 million to the Congressional Leadership Fund, which supports Republican candidates for the House of Representatives.
According to campaign finance reports, Musk is likely the largest private donor to this year’s midterm elections.
Voting will take place in the US on November 3.
Earlier it was reported that the Pentagon has launched a 120-day project called Project Meridian, which will explore how new technologies will change the wars of the future. The project will be led by Elon Musk, Anduril founder Palmer Luckey, and former Speaker of the US House of Representatives Newt Gingrich.
