Emergency power outages are being implemented in the Kharkiv region due to an attack by Russian occupiers on a facility in the Ukrainian energy system.

This was stated by the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov, during a telethon.

He noted that the day before, the occupiers had launched five strikes with Tornado-S MLRS missiles at one of the energy facilities in Kharkiv, significantly damaging the equipment.

In addition, two employees were injured in the attacks – the man was hospitalized in moderate condition, and the woman suffered an acute stress reaction.

“Currently, emergency outage schedules from Ukrenergo are being applied in the city and region, so more than 350 thousand subscribers are simultaneously disconnected from their electricity supply,” the official explained.

Sinegubov added that planned power outage schedules are also in effect in the Kharkiv region.

Merz previously stated that Ukraine is currently on the verge of a humanitarian energy crisis amid Russian attacks and Putin’s unwillingness to cease fire.
