Emergency power outages have been introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine, and outage schedules are currently not in effect.

This was reported by the press service of NPC Ukrenergo.

The reason for the increased restrictions was the consequences of the enemy’s night attack on energy facilities. As reported by the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo, repair teams are already working on restoring the damaged equipment.

On the morning of December 24, the outages affected Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. Electricity consumption remains high and corresponds to the level of the previous working day.

The previous daily maximum consumption was recorded on the evening of December 23 and was 2.4% lower than the figure on December 22 due to a massive missile and drone attack and the application of additional restrictions.

Ukrenergo called on citizens and enterprises to use electricity economically and, if possible, to postpone energy-intensive processes to night hours after 11:00 p.m. Emergency shutdowns will be canceled after the situation in the power system stabilizes.

As a reminder, on December 24, the movement of metro trains was temporarily suspended in Kharkiv.

As reported, on the night of December 24, Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack on Ukraine, using 116 drones of various types. More than half of them were neutralized by the Defense Forces.
