Emergency power outages will continue: Klitschko announced a very difficult situation in Kyiv

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said that the situation in the capital remains difficult – this is the first time such a scale has been observed since the beginning of the Russian invasion.

He wrote about this in Telegram.

According to him, about 400 houses in the city are still without heating. The most difficult situation is on the left bank, while the situation on the right is more stable. At the same time, they plan to restore heat supply to some houses by tonight.

In addition, there are difficulties with electricity supply. Emergency power outage schedules are in effect in Kyiv. In some places, city residents remain without power for more than 10 hours. Klitschko added that emergency power outages will continue.

Currently, more than 1,200 heating points have been deployed in the capital, where people can warm up and drink tea. Klitschko instructed to organize the most efficient mode of their work.

Among other things, the mayor ordered to work out the possibility of providing food for people who are unable to cook at home, as well as to organize hot meals once a day for residents registered in the territorial centers of the districts.

“Now, as far as I know, social services provide and deliver food to more than three thousand people. Lonely elderly people, people with disabilities. Those who need outside help,” Klitschko informed.

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy reported that the most difficult situation with energy supply remains in Kyiv and the region . Hourly power outage schedules are not in effect.

By the way, due to the situation in the power system caused by enemy shelling, the movement of ground electric transport on the right bank of the city in Kyiv was temporarily suspended .
