Energy support: Ukraine to receive 100 million euros from the Netherlands

The Netherlands has decided to increase the total amount of assistance aimed at supporting Ukraine’s energy sector. The country plans to allocate an additional 35 million euros.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal on the X network.

“The Netherlands has increased its total assistance provided through the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to 100 million euros,” the politician’s post says.

According to him, part of the contribution will be directed to the installation of solar power systems on the roofs of buildings through the “Ray of Hope” initiative. The goal of the project is to ensure power supply to critical infrastructure facilities after Russian attacks.

Finally, Shmyhal thanked the Netherlands for supporting the Ukrainian energy sector.

As a reminder, the Netherlands will transfer transformers of various capacities to Ukraine and provide financial assistance in the amount of 23 million euros to support the energy sector. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
