Erdogan announced a key condition for a peace plan between Ukraine and Russia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ukraine and Russia could agree on a peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump.

Erdogan explained that the main issue is not whether the parties can agree , but how they will implement the agreement . According to him, peace will be possible if Trump’s plan takes into account the legitimate interests and security needs of both Ukraine and Russia and does not create new risks.
The Turkish President added that the path to a lasting settlement of the war will only open when the parties agree on a clear framework that satisfies them.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin had not received official information about the negotiations involving the United States, Ukraine, and European countries in Geneva.
As a reminder, Brussels has released the full text of the European counter-project to the American 28-point peace plan for Ukraine . The document was prepared by the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, proposing changes to each point of the basic plan.
