Iran has refused to participate in talks with the United States on its nuclear program, scheduled for June 15.
This was reported by Milliyet with reference to Iranian state television.
Due to Israel’s airstrike on Iranian facilities, he refused to participate in indirect talks with the US on its nuclear program, which were to be held on June 15 in Oman.
“Iran will not participate in indirect talks with the US on its nuclear program,” Iranian state television reported.
It should be noted that Iran and the United States have held five rounds of negotiations since April 2025 to agree on a new nuclear deal that would replace the 2015 agreement with major powers, which Trump abandoned in 2018.
On Monday, June 9, an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Tehran would soon deliver a counterproposal to the United States via Oman regarding the nuclear deal. However, all diplomatic efforts have been put on hold due to the Israeli attack.
Recall that on the night of Friday, June 13, the Israeli army launched a large-scale operation against Iran and massively attacked nuclear and military facilities.
