Estates for Zelensky, Yermak, and Chernyshev: The State Prosecutor’s Office reveals construction details in Kozin

Another scandal has erupted over the construction of four gigantic estates in the village of Kozin. Investigations indicate that the properties, worth millions of dollars, may have been intended for members of the highest echelons of power.

The project concerns the construction of four estates, which are said to be home to Yermak, Mindich, Chernyshev, and Zelensky with their families, the Anti-Corruption Action Center reports.

Journalists’ reports and the published “tapes” of businessman Timur Mindich include the names of ex-Prime Minister Alexei Chernyshev and Mindich himself, as well as the interests of the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, and the family of Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Chernyshev family is reported to have close relationships with the presidential spouses (Chernyshev’s wife is Elena Zelenskaya’s godmother), which could have facilitated lobbying for the developer’s interests.

The Anti-Corruption Action Center claims they became godparents during their time working together, not before. This isn’t a case of “one godparent steered another godparent” into office, but rather, close political cooperation and being part of the inner circle led to the establishment of family ties.
