Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that if Russian troops cross the Estonian border without insignia, security forces will open fire.

He said this in an interview with the Polish portal o2.pl, quoted by Onet.

Tsakhkna recalled an incident in October, when so-called “little green men”—Russian military personnel without official insignia—were spotted near the border on the Russian side. He said similar incidents had occurred before, although they did not escalate into a serious incident. Meanwhile, Estonia temporarily closed the border crossing point for security reasons.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Estonian services are constantly monitoring the situation, including receiving numerous signals from the border town of Narva.

“If ‘little green men’ ever cross our border, we’ll shoot them. There will be no discussion here. If Russia doubts whether we’ll really react, they can try,” Tsakhkna stated sternly.

Earlier, Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that Russia is waging not only a classic war against Ukraine, but also a broad hybrid campaign against European countries.

On the eve, military commentator Hamish de Bretton-Gordon reported that the deployment of Royal Air Force units to Belgium to protect its airspace and critical infrastructure is perhaps the clearest sign yet that London and its NATO allies are already in a state of hybrid warfare .

As a reminder, in northern Norway, British troops and their allies conducted large-scale exercises to simulate scenarios of potential Russian aggression . The command center near the town of Bodø is located inside a cliff and is used to simulate crisis situations, from invasions to cyberattacks and drone operations.
