Estonia is preparing millions in support: what will Ukraine receive?

Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal met with Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur to discuss strengthening air defense, developing drone production, and creating joint defense enterprises.

He reported this in a post.

During the negotiations, Pevkur announced Estonia’s initiative to allocate 3 million euros for the purchase and support of Starlink satellite communication systems for Ukraine.

“We highly appreciate Estonia’s participation in the Purl project. Ukraine is ready to join the implementation of initiatives within the Safe program, which will contribute to the mutual development of the defense-industrial complex. We also discussed the training of the Ukrainian military within the framework of Operation Legio,” Shmyhal noted.

The meeting was another step in strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia in the defense sector, aimed at increasing the security and technological potential of both states.

As a reminder, Polish President Karol Nawrocki signed a law that provides for further financing of the subscription fee for Starlink terminals in Ukraine.
