Ukraine will receive almost 3 billion euros from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program. The EU Council has approved the eighth regular payment.
This is stated in the EU Council statement.
About 800 million euros of this amount will be received by Ukraine for the first time under the Ukraine Support Loan credit program.
The new payment was agreed after Ukraine completed ten required steps. In total, since the program began, the country has already met 84 of the 95 conditions.
Norway has also joined the Ukraine Facility. It will allocate about 92 million euros, which Ukraine will receive as a grant. Norway became the first country outside the EU to contribute to this program.
Ukraine Facility funds are used to support Ukraine’s financial stability, the work of state bodies, the reconstruction and modernization of the country, and the implementation of reforms.
In total, the program provides over 50 billion euros for Ukraine in 2024-2027. After the new payment, Ukraine will receive over 32 billion euros for the Ukraine Facility.
