The European Union will provide new assistance to Ukraine’s energy sector, allocating 100 million euros.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
“Together with the EU, we will work on a new Winter Energy Plan for 2026-2027,” she emphasized.
According to Svyrydenko, the funds will help strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience, restore damaged infrastructure, and prepare for the next heating season.
Separately, the Prime Minister thanked the EU for the multi-billion loan, which will support the country’s defense capabilities and guarantee the uninterrupted operation of key state functions.
“The European Union continues to be our reliable partner in confronting Russian aggression. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received over €200 billion in military, financial and humanitarian support,” she added.
Sweden recently announced a new energy support package for Ukraine worth 1 billion Swedish kronor, which is almost 94 million euros.
The Netherlands has previously decided to increase the total amount of aid aimed at supporting Ukraine’s energy sector. The country plans to allocate an additional 35 million euros.
