The European Commission notes that the positive signal came after Ukraine agreed to accept EU technical and financial assistance for the repair of the Druzhba oil pipeline .

Pinho clarified that the European Union is ready to send an expert to Ukraine who will check the implementation of the pipeline restoration work and help restore oil supplies .

It is expected that the loan issue may be considered during the European Council meeting scheduled for March 19-20 .
