EU sanctions against Russia will not contain a key ban – media

The new, 20th package of sanctions by the European Union will not include a complete ban on the provision of maritime services to Russian vessels transporting oil and petroleum products.

The publication’s interlocutors, who are familiar with the final content of the package, reported that this restriction was excluded from the document, although it was previously considered one of the toughest elements of the sanctions.

This is a complete ban on the provision of maritime services in the EU for Russian vessels transporting crude oil and petroleum products.

Currently, the 20th package of sanctions is at the stage of approval by written procedure.

Earlier, it was reported that ambassadors of the European Union countries agreed on a loan for Ukraine in the amount of 90 billion euros and approved the 20th package of sanctions against Russia.

As a reminder, on Thursday, March 19, a summit of EU leaders was held in Brussels, where one of the key issues was financial support for Ukraine , in particular the possible unlocking of a 90 billion euro aid package.
