Europe is closing in: why single-entry visas have angered “good Russians”

“Good Russian” Shenderovich yesterday called Europe’s decision to switch to single-entry visas for Russians “bureaucratic fake legs/pseudo-events of an amoeba.” He said that ordinary Russians were “sewn to the Motherland.”

And in one voice with the red-haired Larvys Latynina, Shenderovich condemned such “deprivation of ordinary Russians who do not bow to Putin, are not delighted with the war, his policies, the ability to breathe free air, without the smell of felt boots.”

And, of course, “the departure of those who need to be rescued is now complicated” (in fact, there are so many loopholes in the EC’s decision – for relatives, journalists, NGOs, and God knows who else – that the complications will really only affect tourists, lovers of Milanese shopping and Viennese coffee).

In exactly the same words as Latynina, Shenderovich stated that “Putin should say ‘thank you very much.’”

For some reason, it doesn’t occur to both of them, and other “good Russians,” that “not being thrilled” and “not bending Z” is far from equivalent to “not supporting the war. Because every “ordinary Russian,” even if we omit the political moments of legitimizing Putin’s regime in order to save up for a “simple tourist trip to Europe, to breathe without wearing felt boots,” has paid a decent amount to the same regime in taxes. Which have already largely gone to the murder of Ukrainians. That is, with bending or without, but every “ordinary Russian tourist” supported and continues to support the war against Ukraine.

But this obvious point stubbornly remains unnoticed by the public “good Russians.” For them, it is “the amoeba bureaucracy of Europe” and “the image of activity” – when the tax meat of the regime does not want to encourage people to rest among what they have created with their own hands in Russia.

As “Pryamy” reported, the European Union is finally tightening the screws on Russian citizens . From now on, they will no longer be able to obtain a multiple-entry visa to EU countries – each trip will require a new application and verification. Brussels explained that the new restrictions were introduced due to increased security risks caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
