European airline names condition for return to Ukraine

One of the safest airlines in Europe has announced its readiness to return to the Ukrainian market, but only on condition of complete flight safety.
This is reported by the Telegraph.
The Latvian airline AirBaltic noted that the key condition for the resumption of flights remains open and safe airspace over Ukraine.
The company emphasized that they plan to resume regular flights to Ukraine as soon as the security situation allows and all necessary permits are obtained.
In March 2025, an AirBaltic delegation visited Kyiv for the second time. During meetings with Ukrainian partners, possible scenarios for the return of air services and the opening of routes after the situation stabilizes were discussed.
The airline is considering flights from Kyiv and Lviv to Riga as the first destinations, as well as the resumption of connections with Tallinn and Vilnius. At the same time, AirBaltic emphasizes that the launch of flights will take place only after the skies over Ukraine are fully opened.
The company has also already added the Ukrainian language to its official website, which should simplify the use of services for Ukrainian passengers.
It was previously reported that the plane of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was unable to land in Moscow because the airspace in the city was closed due to a drone attack.
As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsia is launching new connections to Europe, thanks to which Ukrainians will be able to reach Germany with one transfer.
