European leaders and Zelensky to hold talks with Trump before his meeting with Putin

The President of Ukraine and leaders of European countries will have a telephone conversation with Donald Trump two days before his meeting with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
This was stated by German government spokesman Stefan Cornelius.
Cornelius said that US Vice President J.D. Vance will also join the phone call between the leaders.
Among the leaders who will participate in the conversation will be:
- German Chancellor Friedrich Merz;
- French President Emmanuel Macron;
- British Prime Minister Keir Starmer;
- the prime ministers of Italy, Poland and Finland.
“The talks will consider further options for pressure on Russia, as well as the preparation of possible peace talks and related issues of territorial claims and security,” Cornelius said.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump informed European leaders of his intention to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin , and later to organize a trilateral meeting with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
By the way, a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is scheduled for the end of next week .
As is known, on the eve of the meeting between Putin and Trump, the head of European diplomacy, Kaia Kallas, announced a meeting of foreign ministers of EU countries , in particular, officials will discuss further steps regarding Ukraine.
