“European Solidarity” initiated changes to the State Budget for 2026

The European Solidarity faction initiated changes to the State Budget for 2026, and draft law 14311 was also signed by representatives of other factions.

Co-chair of the faction Iryna Gerashchenko explained on social networks how UAH 100 billion can be redistributed in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“It’s shameful when for 3 years the military’s payments haven’t been increased by a single hryvnia, while billions are allocated for cashback, roads, strategic communications, and other things,” the deputy noted.

According to her, bill 14311 proposes to reduce expenditures on central executive bodies:

• 2323 million – for the Ministry of Justice and the State Penitentiary Service;
• UAH 1,820 million – for the Prosecutor General’s Office;
• 1218 million – for the State Bureau of Investigation;
• UAH 772 million – to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine;
• 452 million – for the Accounting Chamber;
• UAH 343 million – for the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
• UAH 232 million – for the State Administration of Affairs;
• UAH 100 million – for the Antimonopoly Committee.

In addition, Eurosolidarity proposes to direct funds from the following expenditure items to the Armed Forces of Ukraine:

• 13.7 billion – investment projects of the Ministry of Development;
• 10 billion – health screening;
• 6 billion – for road construction;
• 5.5 billion – telethon and strategic communications;
• 4.8 billion – e-government and informatization programs;
• 4.3 billion – purchase of wagons;
• 2 billion – Regional Development Fund;
• 1.9 billion – Decarbonization Fund;
• 1 billion – special payments to officials.

Instead, the people’s deputies demand an increase of UAH 100 billion in expenditures on financial support for the military , directing UAH 39 billion from the Reserve Fund for the Security and Defense Sector, as well as an increase from 10% to 20% of the share of “military” personal income tax, which is transferred directly to military units.

” Funds from the budget financing of industrial parks, investments and cashback will be directed to the purchase, modernization and repair of weapons and military equipment . 6 billion hryvnias will be directed to the maintenance of public roads, which are of strategic importance for increasing the defense capability and security of the state , the list of which will be determined by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” writes Iryna Gerashchenko.
