Evacuation from Oleshki under threat: people are being intimidated by filtering and encouraged to go to Russia

Residents of occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region are afraid to leave due to uncertainty about the evacuation route. People do not know whether they will be able to safely reach the territory controlled by Ukraine, and during registration for departure, according to local sources, they are being advised to choose Russia or stay at home.
This was reported by the head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation, Petro Andryuschenko, citing sources in the city.
According to him, residents do not have clear answers to two main questions: whether the evacuation will be safe and where exactly they will be taken. Additional concerns are caused by the experience of Mariupol, when people who planned to leave through Vasylivka ended up in Rostov. Because of this, some residents of Oleshki are afraid to even sign up for evacuation.
According to Andryushchenko’s sources, registration takes place at a local hospital, where so-called volunteers work. They report on various buses: some supposedly take people to Ukrainian-controlled territory, others to Russia or deep into the occupied areas. From there, people are offered to find their own way or contact volunteers.
At the same time, Andryushchenko claims, those who come to register for evacuation are being persuaded to choose the route to Russia or to refuse evacuation altogether. People are being scared of the upcoming filtering, during which they may allegedly be “taken to no one knows where,” and are being advised to stay home and stock up on food.
“We know who the volunteers are in the Russian Federation. People who came to register were persuaded to register specifically for the trip to the Russian Federation or were refused permission to go at all, saying that there would be filtering and people would be “taken to who knows where.” They advised it would be better to take groceries and stay home,” said a representative of the Center for the Study of Occupation.
Andryuschenko compared the situation in Oleshki with the evacuation from Mariupol, which, in his opinion, the Russian side actually disrupted. Then there was also registration, confusion with buses, and manipulation by the occupiers.
“I want to be wrong like never before,” he concluded.
We remind you that humanitarian aid to residents of temporarily occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region is planned to be delivered on October 30. Currently, preparation of the cargo and demining of the routes are underway.
As reported, four American journalists from the Newsmax TV channel will work in occupied Oleshki , Kherson region, where they will document the progress of a humanitarian mission.
