Evacuation from the conflict zone: GUR evacuated 133 Ukrainian citizens from Israel

On Monday, June 22, the State Emergency Service, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, evacuated 176 people from Israel, including 133 citizens of Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the State Administrative Organization.

It is noted that on June 22, the GUR, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, successfully conducted an operation to evacuate civilians from the territory of Israel, where the security situation continues to worsen.

As a result of the GUR operation, 176 people were evacuated from Israel. Among them were 133 citizens of Ukraine, Moldova, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, and the United States.

The plane with the evacuated people landed in Moldova. Where will they get to their homeland from?

“When the shelling started, my son and I were visiting my mother in Tel Aviv. Our flight was canceled and my mother contacted the embassy to help us leave. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who helped make this happen. We are grateful to Ukraine for not leaving its citizens in trouble. I am happy to be here , ” said the evacuated Kyiv resident.

“My family and I were in Tel Aviv on vacation, we went to get away from the war for a bit, but we found the same horror there: explosions, shelling. I went to the embassy website, applied for evacuation. And just a few days later, we are returning to Ukraine. Thank you to everyone who made the effort , ” says a resident of the Kyiv region who was evacuated from Tel Aviv.

It is noted that the efforts of the State Emergency Service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and international partners allowed Ukrainian citizens to be successfully evacuated to safer regions or returned to their homeland.

As is known, on June 13 , Israel launched a large-scale air strike on the territory of Iran . The targets were facilities related to the Iranian nuclear program.

The airstrike on Tehran killed more than 70 people, including at least 20 high-ranking military personnel .
