Evacuation is almost impossible: over two thousand people remain in Kostyantynivka

More than two thousand people still remain in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, and evacuation from the city is almost impossible.

This was announced by the head of the OVA, Vadym Filashkin.

According to him, authorities, charities, police units, or the State Emergency Service have almost no ability to evacuate Kostyantynivka. People who remain there can only leave with the help of the military.

In particular, the day before, on March 3, Defense Forces soldiers managed to evacuate a wounded person.

“It is very difficult to do this,” stated Filashkin.

He added that it is now almost impossible to deliver humanitarian aid to cities such as Kostyantynivka and Lyman, because the Russians control all access roads with the help of drones.

“The enemy controls these cities in full. Therefore, it is almost impossible to evacuate on such a large scale as we are removing children from the cities that are close to the front line, from the cities of Lyman and Kostyantynivka,” the head of the administration explained.

Recently, the Russians shelled Kostyantynivka with banned phosphorus munitions, despite the fact that civilians still remain in the city.

As is known, the soldiers of the 19th Army Corps have denied the occupiers’ claims that Russian forces control part of Kostyantynivka . Ukrainian fighters are confidently holding their defenses and destroying the enemy on the approaches to the city.
