The “Era of Poverty” Ended with “Dynasty” in Kozyn—for the President’s Friends

Mykhailo Tkach’s investigation into the tapes in the “Midas case” once again shows the scale of cynicism: the defendants seem to have perceived Ukraine not as a state, but as their own fiefdom. The state budget as a personal stash. Institutions as an obstacle. NABU and SAPO are enemies because they dared to dig too close to the presidential entourage.

120 million in collateral for Chernyshov has been “officially” found. What is this—a new format of investments in the system? Throwing yourself “on the common fund” for your loved ones in order to continue living peacefully, building estates, and accumulating an unbearable fortune?

This case requires maximum publicity. Because instead of clearing it up, the authorities seem to be investing in discrediting the NABU and the SAPO—in particular, through slander in Telegram channels. But the case of Mindich and company has not disappeared.

Just imagine how our military perceives this. Those who keep up the front while organisms from “high offices” and circles close to power direct state money not to defense, but to building estates, crypts, luxury cars, etc.

This is not just a corruption scandal.

This is a verdict on President Zelensky’s entire administration.

As a reminder, Ukrainska Pravda has published a new part of the audio recordings, which, according to journalists, were made by NABU as part of the Midas case. These are conversations recorded in the summer of 2025 in the apartment of businessman Timur Mindich, who is called a defendant in the energy corruption case.

As reported by the representative of the Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense, Tetyana Nikolayenko, the tapes made it clear not only that Mindich is connected to FirePoint, but also that he manages the production process and the attraction of investment funds. But it turns out that the former Minister of Defense traveled to the UAE and lobbied for attracting investment in this particular campaign, pushing for the allocation of budget funds for it.
