Exploded six kilometers from the Kremlin: in Moscow, a drone hit an elite residential complex, debris fell in the middle of the street

On the night of May 4, Moscow was attacked by drones: one of the drones exploded 6 kilometers from the Kremlin and 3 kilometers from the Russian Ministry of Defense building. The wreckage of the drone fell in the middle of the street, and the drone itself damaged the facade of an elite residential complex.

This is reported by Russian media.

Shortly before the explosions, OSINT analysts recorded drones flying over Moscow at an extremely low altitude and published the footage. Later, videos of the drone’s debris falling in the middle of a street in the Russian capital appeared online.

A drone hit the building of the elite residential complex “House on Mosfilmovskaya Street” in the western part of Moscow. The attack damaged the facade of the building and broke windows, and debris also fell in the area adjacent to the building. The explosion occurred at around 01:00.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed the attack.

“According to preliminary data, a drone flew into a building on Mosfilmovskaya Street. There were no injuries. Services are working at the scene of the incident,” he wrote.

According to analysts, the attack was carried out by an FP-1 strike drone — a long-range aircraft-type drone introduced in Ukraine in May 2025. It is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 120 kilograms and covering a distance of up to 1,600 kilometers.

“The UAV that crashed tonight in Moscow turned out to be a full-fledged FP-1 strike drone. This is the first recorded presence of Ukrainian strike drones in close proximity to the Kremlin in a very long time,” analysts noted.

On the wreckage of the drone, which is circulating online, an inscription in Ukrainian is visible: “Do not touch! Moving part.”

The head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, Petro Andryuschenko, specified the coordinates of the hit and reported that drones also attacked other Russian regions at night – explosions and the operation of air defense systems were recorded in the Rostov, Voronezh, Lipetsk and Samara regions. As of this morning, Moscow’s Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports had not resumed operations due to the “Carpet” plan implemented by Rosaviatsia.

The Ukrainian side has not officially commented on the attack at the time of publication.

Recall that in mid-March, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that air defense systems had destroyed about 250 drones moving towards the Russian capital.
