Explosion at gas station in Mykolaiv: seven police officers injured
In Mykolaiv, on February 23 at 6:10 p.m., an explosion occurred on the territory of an out-of-service gas station.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
At the time of the explosion, officers from the Patrol Police Department were on duty and parked their service vehicles. Seven law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.
Two of them are in serious condition. Doctors are providing all necessary assistance and fighting for their lives.
The police noted that a similar terrorist attack against law enforcement officers occurred in Lviv the day before yesterday. Law enforcement officers do not consider these events a coincidence.
The National Police stated that they view the explosion as a targeted attack on the law and order system and an attempt to destabilize the situation within the country.
As previously reported, two explosions were heard in the center of Lviv near the Magnus shopping center on the night of February 22, 2026. No airstrikes were declared in the city or region.
As a reminder, on February 23, the court chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the terrorist attack in the center of Lviv , which resulted in one person being killed and 25 others being injured.
