Explosions and fires in the Russian Federation: Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the port and airfield

On the night of December 25, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of strikes on Russian military and logistical infrastructure. A seaport in the Krasnodar Territory, a military airfield, and a repair unit of the occupiers in the Donetsk region came under fire.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainian units struck the seaport of Temryuk in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. The attack resulted in explosions and a fire. The fire engulfed two oil tanks, the area of the fire reached about 2 thousand square meters.

The port of Temryuk is located in the Temryuk Bay of the Sea of Azov on the Taman Peninsula. Russia uses this port to transport various cargoes, including petroleum products and liquefied gas, which it uses to supply its army.

That same night, Ukrainian forces struck a military airfield in the Maikop region of the Republic of Adygea. A fire broke out at the facility after the strike. The consequences of the strike are currently being investigated.

In addition, strike drones attacked a repair unit of the 143rd motorized rifle regiment of the Russian Federation near the settlement of Truzhenka in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region. The Ukrainian military is clarifying the extent of the damage.

The General Staff also confirmed the results of previous strikes on the Belbek airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukrainian UAVs destroyed the 96K6 radar station, the R-419 communications station, and damaged the 55Zh6T radar.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces are systematically striking at facilities that supply the Russian army with fuel, equipment, and ammunition, and continue to weaken the aggressor’s military and economic potential.

Earlier it was reported that a large-scale fire broke out near an oil refinery in the city of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Region. Local residents are reporting a possible drone attack.

As a reminder, on the night of December 25, drones struck the port of Temryuk in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia. The attack caused two tanks with petroleum products to catch fire.
