On the night of Wednesday, April 22, the Russian city of Syzran in the Samara region was attacked by drones. Explosions were heard in the city, and damage to residential infrastructure was also recorded.

This is reported by Russian media and OSINT sources.

According to Telegram channels, local residents saw drones flying over residential areas. At around 3 a.m., a series of powerful explosions were heard in the city, followed by bright flashes in the sky.

OSINT analysis confirms that the videos from the scene were shot in the area of “50 Years of October” Avenue. The Syzran Oil Refinery is located a few kilometers from this location.

Before the attack, an air emergency was declared in the region, and Samara’s Kurumoch airport temporarily suspended the reception and departure of flights.

Russian authorities have reported damage to a residential building on Astrakhanskaya Street. According to reports, the entrance to the high-rise building has partially collapsed.

“Four people were rescued from the rubble, including one child,” local services said.

It is also reported that rescuers and emergency services are working at the scene, clearing the rubble.

According to some OSINT channels, some of the damage could have been caused by Russian air defenses.

As reported the day before, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck ammunition depots and logistics facilities of Russian troops on the TOT and in the Russian Federation.
