Explosions in the depths of the Russian Federation: several cities were hit at once

On the night of April 10, explosions were heard in several cities in Russia and air defense systems were activated.

Incidents are reported by local residents and OSINT communities.

In particular, there was unrest in Kazan, Saransk, Gukovo, and Volgograd.

In Kazan, an air raid alert was announced for the first time since the start of the full-scale war. As noted by Petro Andryuschenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, the siren sounded on the evening of April 9 at around 10:00 p.m., and was announced again at night.

“This is the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion that an air raid alert has been activated in Kazan,” Andryuschenko noted.

Local residents also reported loud noises and the operation of air defense systems, but there is no detailed information about the consequences yet.

In Saransk, a fire broke out after an alarm was raised. According to preliminary data, it could have started after an impact. A similar situation occurred in Gukovo, Rostov Region – there was a powerful explosion, after which a fire also broke out, but what exactly ignited it is still unknown.

At least several explosions were heard in Volgograd at night. Eyewitnesses say that before that, the hum of drones flying at low altitude could be heard in the sky. Some of the explosions were heard in the southern part of the city. In neighboring Volgograd, drone sounds were also heard and flashes were seen.

Due to the threat of drone attacks, the airport in Volgograd was temporarily closed — it was not accepting or sending flights.

There is currently no official information about the consequences of these events.

As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, April 9, the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation was subjected to a massive drone attack. The Crimean Linear Production and Dispatch Station (LVDS) and the air base of the 3rd Guards Aviation Regiment were hit.

As reported, on the night of Thursday, April 9, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region . These are the Alchevsk and Perevalsk districts.
