Explosions in Volgograd: Oil refinery hit again

On the night of December 26, residents of Volgograd, Russia, reported a series of loud explosions that echoed across various parts of the city. According to preliminary information, the local oil refinery Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka was hit again, where a large-scale fire broke out after the attack.
This is reported by Russian media.
In particular, in the Krasnoarmiyskyi district, eyewitnesses counted at least two dozen explosions, after which thick smoke and fire were visible in the area of the refinery. Local residents actively discussed the incident on social networks, posting videos and messages from the scene.
At the same time, the governor of the Volgograd region, Andrey Bocharov, stated that Russian air defense forces allegedly repelled the attack by strike drones. According to the official version of the authorities, there were no casualties or damage to infrastructure.
The Russian Defense Ministry, for its part, reported the alleged destruction of 34 drones in the region’s airspace. Due to the threat of drone attacks, the Volgograd airport was also temporarily restricted – Rosaviatsia introduced the “Caver” plan, and the airport did not accept or send flights for more than six hours.
As a reminder, on the night of November 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that it had allegedly shot down 136 Ukrainian drones, while explosions and air defense operations were recorded in a number of regions of the Russian Federation.
As reported, on the night of November 6 , explosions were heard and fires broke out in oil refineries in Volgograd, Russia, and temporarily occupied Simferopol . Russian social media reported drone attacks and strikes on industrial facilities.
