As a result of Ukraine’s attacks on Russian fuel and energy complexes, the reduction in oil product processing in the Russian Federation reached 20%.
This was reported by GUR representative Andriy Yusov.
He emphasized that Ukrainian units successfully attack Russian facilities almost daily, inflicting devastating blows on the defense-industrial complex.
“The key indicator is how many Ukrainian drones reach their targets and cause damage. According to various estimates, the reduction in oil product processing in the Russian Federation is from 18% to 20% — these are extremely large figures,” Yusov noted.
According to him, the Russians are trying to “patch holes” in their air defenses to protect the military-industrial and fuel and energy complexes from Ukrainian strikes.
To do this, they combine outdated Soviet models with “technology that is presented as the latest.”
“We are talking about both Soviet complexes and modern ones — the enemy is trying to combine them into one system. These are the outdated S-300s, the newer S-400s, and the so-called newest S-350 “Vityaz” system,” the intelligence representative explained.
As a reminder, on the night of October 29 , the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched strikes on Russian regions, hitting a number of strategic facilities – two refineries and a gas processing plant.
As it became known, Ukraine’s attacks on Russian oil refineries, as well as the upcoming tax increase, are creating additional pressure on the Russian economy , provoking rising inflation.
