Russian propaganda is spreading a video with unsubstantiated accusations of Ukrainian military personnel allegedly stealing exhibits from the Mariupol Museum in 2022.
This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation .
In the video, the so-called “custodian” of the museum claims that no remains of the exhibits remained after the fire and suggests that they could have been stolen by the Ukrainian military.
At the same time, the author of these statements himself admits that he does not have any evidence or testimony confirming the involvement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The CPC emphasizes that it was the Russian occupation forces who systematically engaged in looting and removing cultural values from the temporarily occupied territories.
The Russian Federation uses such informational attacks to shift responsibility for the destruction of Mariupol and the theft of property onto the Ukrainian side.
It was previously reported that Russian propagandists are spreading a new information hoax about alleged “atrocities” by the Ukrainian military.
