Famous British singer Chris Rea has died

On Monday, December 22, the famous British singer and songwriter Chris Rea died.
This was reported by the BBC Ukrainian service.
Chris Rea died in hospital. He was 74 years old. The cause of death was reportedly a short battle with illness.
“It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Chris. He passed away peacefully today in hospital after a short illness, surrounded by his family,” the singer’s family said.
Chris Rea’s health problems began when he was diagnosed with cancer at a young age. He later had his pancreas removed, and in 2016, the singer suffered a stroke.
Over the years of his creative activity, he has released over 25 studio albums. His debut album, “Whatever Happened to Benny Santini?”, helped him earn a Grammy Award nomination.
Chris Rea’s famous hits include “Driving Home for Christmas”, “On the Beach”, “Looking for the Summer”, etc.
As a reminder, on December 12, People’s Artist of Ukraine Stepan Giga died at the age of 66 after a long illness. He left behind a significant creative legacy and a large number of fans throughout Ukraine and abroad.
