Fedorov appointed a new deputy and inspector of the Ministry of Defense: details

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has appointed a new Deputy Minister and Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Mstislav Banik became the deputy minister. He will be responsible for the procurement reform in the department. His task is to make the processes as transparent and efficient as possible for the needs of the army.

Banik has experience in creating government digital services. Previously, he worked at the Ministry of Digital Affairs on the launch and development of the “Diya” application, and at the Ministry of Defense he was responsible for the “Army+” and “Reserve+” projects. He also has combat experience – he went from soldier to officer and worked with FPV drone units.

Yuriy Myronenko has been appointed Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense. He will be responsible for an objective assessment of the situation in the troops and the effectiveness of management decisions.

Among its tasks are regular analysis of the state of affairs on the front and provision of rapid feedback for policy adjustments.

Myronenko previously served as Deputy Minister of Defense, responsible for the development of the DELTA system, the implementation of Mission Control, and technological solutions based on battlefield data. He also worked at the Ministry of Digital Affairs and headed the State Special Communications Service. He has combat experience and commanded a drone unit.

The Ministry of Defense notes that the new appointments should strengthen the team and ensure more efficient use of resources for the needs of the front.

As previously reported, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov unveiled Ukraine’s “war strategy” needed to force Russia to make peace.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a conversation with the media, identified three key tasks for the new Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov. The priorities were the protection of the sky, the settlement of mobilization issues, and the functioning of the contract army.
