Fedorov’s new position, air defense and negotiations: Zelenskyy’s main statements

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a joint conversation with journalists with Irish Prime Minister Michail Martin, made a number of statements regarding personnel decisions, the situation on the front, the negotiation process, and Ukraine’s preparation for winter.

New position for Fedorov

Zelenskyy announced that he had offered former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Military Innovations.

According to the president, the new deputy prime minister should coordinate military innovations between the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the president.

Russia is preparing new strikes

The president said that Russia is preparing new attacks against Ukraine and is likely planning a new wave of mobilization in the fall.

The trilateral meeting should take place by the fall.

Zelenskyy reported that after a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump’s special representatives Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, the American side will convey its proposals to Russia.

After that, according to the head of state, a new trilateral meeting of representatives of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia may take place.

“If it were up to us, it would be in July. But not everything depends on us,” the president noted.

Air defense remains Ukraine’s main need

The President emphasized that Ukraine continues diplomatic work with allies, but the main need of the state remains air defense systems and missiles for Patriot and other complexes.

Zelensky is dissatisfied with preparations for winter

The Head of State stated that he was not satisfied with the pace of implementation of the Resilience Plans, which are intended to prepare the country for the autumn-winter period.

According to him, one of the primary tasks of the new Minister of Infrastructure will be to accelerate the implementation of these works.

Appeal regarding Russian athletes

During the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ireland, Zelensky also raised the issue of terminating European funding for organizations that allow Russian athletes to participate under the flag of an aggressor country.

The President emphasized that a significant portion of such athletes support the war and have ties to the Russian army.
