Fifth day in a row: rallies in support of Fedorov continue in Kyiv and other cities

Protests in support of Mykhailo Fedorov have been continuing in Kyiv and several other cities in Ukraine for the fifth day in a row. Protesters are calling on the authorities to reinstate him as Minister of Defense and are also demanding the resignation of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.

In the capital, hundreds of people gathered in the square near the Ivan Franko Theater. Participants held posters and chanted: “Shame,” “Ukraine is not Russia,” “There are no holidays in war,” “Together we are many, we cannot be overcome,” “Syrsky – go away.” The song “Chervona Ruta” was also played during the action.

Similar rallies were held in Kharkiv, where people also expressed support for Fedorov and called for Syrskyi to be released.

In Ternopil, about a hundred people gathered near the regional council building and the OVA. The participants of the rally demanded that Fedorov be reinstated as Minister of Defense and that the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine be changed.

In Mykolaiv, about 80 participants, mostly young people, walked down the city’s central street with posters reading “Bring back Fedorov, Syrsky – away,” “It’s time for systemic changes,” “Exchange prisoners, not Fedorov,” and others.

According to the participants of the action, they plan to hold rallies until their demands are heard by the authorities. The activists also call for an extraordinary session of the Verkhovna Rada and the reappointment of Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense.

In Chernivtsi, about a hundred people gathered in the city’s Central Square. Protesters shouted slogans in support of Fedorov and against Syrsky. Local residents brought water, tea, coffee, sweets and pizza to the participants of the action, and car drivers honked their horns in support.
