Fighting for Pokrovsk: the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the situation in the city and surrounding areas

Fierce urban battles continue in Pokrovsk. Russian troops, taking advantage of their numerical superiority, have infiltrated the city, but Ukrainian defenders continue to actively resist and destroy the enemy.

This was reported by the 7th Corps of the Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian defense in Pokrovsk has been reinforced with new units — assault troops, artillery, drone crews, and other components of the Defense Forces. The use of anti-aircraft drones and net launchers against enemy “maviks” is also increasing, and enemy infiltration routes are additionally remotely mined.

On October 25–26, Ukrainian soldiers killed about 40 occupiers in Pokrovsk. At the same time, Russian forces that entered the city are not trying to gain a foothold, but are seeking to advance north to disperse the defense forces and block land logistics routes.

Currently, there is no talk of Russia having full control over any area of Pokrovsk .

The occupiers are monitoring the movements of Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk and Myrnograd. Due to constant fighting, personnel rotation is delayed and logistics are limited. Both aerial and ground drones are being used to deliver the necessary resources.

At the same time, the enemy is conducting massive assaults along the entire defense zone of the 7th Corps of the Assault Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, trying to bring the demarcation line closer to Pokrovsk and Myrnograd.

In two days — October 25 and 26 — Russian troops carried out 42 attacks throughout the defense zone. Ukrainian defenders destroyed 64 occupiers, 4 units of armored vehicles, 2 cars, and 6 motorcycles.

The assaults were repelled thanks to effective interaction between units of the 7th Corps of the Assault Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the adjacent forces of the 1st Corps of the Azov National Guard.

It was previously reported that about 200 Russian occupiers penetrated through Ukrainian positions to Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region – gun battles are ongoing in the city, but defense forces are not allowing the enemy to gain a foothold.

We will remind you that as of October 26, 2025, Ukrainian soldiers liberated 185.6 sq. km of the territory of Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region and cleared 243.8 sq. km . Despite this, the situation remains difficult, as the enemy is increasing offensive forces.
