Final transfer of the year: a dozen and a half brigades received “Lightning Bolts” from Poroshenko

On New Year’s Eve, Petro Poroshenko met with representatives of a dozen or so brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Under the Christmas tree” the military received a large batch of drones of various modifications, electronic warfare, communication and control equipment, generators, charging stations, and equipment for headquarters work.

There was also a Christmas nativity scene – a young team that had visited many corners of the country over the past week stopped by to congratulate the Ukrainian defenders.

“And, of course, we transferred a large batch of equipment and machinery to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – paratroopers, assault troops, marines, airmobile and mechanized brigades, TRO forces, aviation, and military training units,” Petro Poroshenko wrote on social networks.

“This is the largest transfer of Blyskavka strike drones of all time. It is these drones that are already showing results and therefore are of greatest interest to the units,” states the fifth President. In early December, it became known about the new program of the Poroshenko Foundation to supply the army with Ukrainian-made Blyskavka kamikaze drones . At the same time, Poroshenko transferred the first batch of drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“These wonderful complexes help us work at a very long rear distance with maximum damage. This saves us funds and resources. We asked for help because they are critically lacking on the front line. It is a very effective thing, and we would like to have more of them to stop breakthroughs or attacks by enemy equipment, minimize and destroy the enemy, manpower. They fly far, carry a fairly large weight. This ammunition can deliver 7 kg of warhead to a distance of up to 60 kilometers, which creates a large area of damage and can destroy many enemies. For quite a bit of money, we have the maximum result. It is even cheaper than a 155-caliber shell,” explains a representative of one of the brigades.

“A container of nets against FPV drones was separately handed over. A simple but necessary solution for protecting people and equipment,” the fifth President noted. The units also handed over FPV drones of various types, including fiber-optic ones.

“We are from the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, from the “Barney” unit. Today we are taking the “Lightning”, fiber-optic drones and radio-controlled drones. The drones are very effective, the “optics” are good. I like it the most, it breaks the least. We work with manpower,” says the representative of the “Edelweiss”.

“2025 was a difficult year for the front, for all servicemen, for our country. Even greater defeat by the enemy of our energy sector. What do we expect from 2026? The destruction of the enemy and our victory,” says the representative of the 151st separate mechanized brigade. “There is a huge shortage of resources at the front. The guys are working, we strive for victory as much as possible, and in 2026 we want maximum support. The more resources we have, the more powerfully we will destroy the enemy,” the military say.

“Holidays do not change reality. Therefore, on New Year’s Eve we do the same thing as yesterday – we work,” Petro Poroshenko summarizes.
