Фінляндія
The Finnish Armed Forces imposed temporary restrictions on air traffic over the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland on the morning of July 6.
The military reported this on the social network X, and Yle also reports .
It is known that air traffic restrictions came into effect at 6:10.
Later, at 6:48 a.m., the military also restricted sea traffic in part of the Gulf of Finland.
The spokesman for the Finnish General Staff, Jere Paldanius, explained that the restrictions are related to the attack by Ukrainian drones on Russian territory.
At the same time, the official emphasized that currently no UAVs have been recorded in Finnish airspace that could accidentally fly into the country’s territory.
According to him, such a possibility still exists, so citizens are recommended to follow the instructions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was previously reported that on July 4, the Finnish Defense Forces restricted air and sea traffic in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland near the city of Kotka for several hours amid a Ukrainian drone attack on St. Petersburg. All restrictions were subsequently lifted.
It was also reported that Finnish President Alexander Stubb signed amendments to the Nuclear Energy Act that allow the import and transit of nuclear weapons through the country. The law will come into force on July 1 and repeals the current ban on such operations.
